Hi Ho... Hi Ho... And Off To Work We Go!

I felt like I was in Vélo Vogue fairyland when I crossed beautiful Caitlin at the Ferry Building on Bike To Work Day 2012!

Dreamy Caitlin noted that she coordinated the outfit with the bike for this pedal-powered holiday. Her singular style impressed me so much that I jumped in to pose next to her.

A cycle-star is born!

Caitlin admitted that this was only the second time she biked to work from her home in the Mission to Downtown, a job which she is leaving to start working at the Walt Disney Family Museum in The Presidio. Maybe she'll find Doc and the other dwarves hiding out in that Cypress forest in the Northwest corner of SF, and maybe she and her shiny red bicycle will ride happily ever after!

Hope you all had a magical Bike To Work Day as well! <3

Work it, girl!

Let's admit, work is a drag! But we gotta bring home the bacon, and we can only hope our jobs are as exciting as that of Little Miss Hot Mess!

Check out her step-by-step instructions on how to get dolled up and parade to work, especially on Bike To Work Day!

For some other fashion ideas, don't miss the Bike Away From Work Fashion Show tonight at the DNA Lounge, and watch me do my little turn on the catwalk!

Ding! Ding!

Gentlemen Prefer to Bike To Work

Bike To Work Day Shoot 29
OK, yes, it was a photo shoot (the grey backdrop was probably a dead giveaway). It was organized by the Bay Area Bicycle Coalition to promote Bike To Work Day, featuring hotties from all over the Bay Area, like this lad.

The focus was on people's motivation to bike.

Beauty - check! Efficiency - check!

It's Bike To Work Month!

It's time to bike-commute (if you're not doing so already)!

To celebrate Bike-To-Work Month, I'd like to announce that I got hired! And to top it off, I got hired for the job for which I went on this interview!

My first official day is Tuesday (tomorrow).

Thanks to all of you who gave me your warm words of encouragement. I start my new job at Link TV on Tuesday as the Promotions Producer/Editor. A great network, with a great mission, headquartered right here in San Francisco.

Additionally, there are several events to look forward to this month.

May 12: Bike Away From Work Fashion Show & Party at the DNA Lounge. Your own KT on the runway!

May 11: DFF Bike-In Movie Screening at the Phoenix Hotel. Paparazzi represented by VV, and your chance to be featured here on the blog!

Globe-Trotters

Q: What could be more beautiful than a rainbow of bikes in pretty colors?
Globe Rainbow

A: A group of beautiful peeps riding those beauties!
Globe-trotters

I was honored to be invited by Globe Bikes to take part in an exclusive urban bike tour offered by the brand spankin' new company SoSF!
Jessica Meek of Globe

They led us to some prime SF spots! A KT fave:

I was riding the Globe Haul, though I didn't haul any heavy loads until later that evening (stay tuned).

We all paused to contemplate the mural laden Balmy Alley in the Mission:

I got to meet some cool bike peeps from other cities, like Matt from Bicycle Times.

And the fresh new bike racks on Valencia Street were even a surprise to us locals. Jessica Meek from Globe admires!

We were all treated to a tasty catered picnic at Dolores Park... this head tube tells all!
Mmmmm Good!

A fun event to launch Globe's new line of 2010 bikes! I've had a Globe Daily (new for 2010) to test ride this week, and so instead of writing about it, a film is worth a thousand words. Riding to the music of Alex Cuba, "Directo."
