ghost of SF past?

Say hi to Edward.

I was sitting on the sidewalk in Noe Valley, guarding my friend Erin's furniture as she moved from one flat to another, when Edward rode up on his gorgeous old Raleigh. He grew up in the Upper Haight, and lived there during the neighborhood's hey-day of the 60's and 70's, when people left their doors open, and bikes unlocked on the front porch.

Ah, the good ol' days! Where have they gone?

Stripey Hippie

I dug this chyck's look with her stripey sweater, vest warmy with matching moped helmet, hippie bag and bike with fenders. Her pants were nothing special... except capris are very practical for a cyclist.

hippie|sporty

All in one cross-walk: a hippie girl in a purple floral peasant dress, a musician with his violin, and a sporty girl with lime green striped sneakers matching the tape on her handlebars.

Their one commonality (besides being in the same place at the same time) is that they are all riding what appear to be 10-speeds.
