Valencia and Duboce

It's a strange location for a biker bar (Zeitgeist). But when I think of this intersection, I think of the bar. From the outside, it's an auto-dominate edge to our little almost-bike-heaven of Valencia Street, the mucky patch that you must cross before getting to main street, I mean, Market Street.

My photos came out a little blurry, but this lovely lady was well-coordinated. Her shirt matched her bike. Her jacket matched her shoes. And throw in a splash of fun with the floral "skirt" over her pants. The floral print is what first caught my eye.

Uggs are still IN in LA. I still don't get it, but it seems to work for her and many other girls that I saw wearing them with short shorts on this warm and sunny day.

Why look like anyone else when you can create your singular style? This woman with her one thick braid, woolen cardigan and dress over pants look, pushed the fashion envelope as she pushed her bike along the boardwalk on this spring afternoon.

I'm still trying to figure out how to describe what she's wearing. Either way, she's a cutie, especially donning a pink flower behind her ear.

I still haven't figured out how to do this dismounting trick. Maybe I just don't trust my balance, but she seems so confident on her fantastic orange cruiser as she pulled up to the Waterfront Cafe to meet her friend for a beer.

I wonder if she has a matching helmet for every ensemble! Excellent cycle-fashion with the fitted dress-over-pants look, with matching red helmet and flats. She might have been on her way to see Beirut in concert like I was on this evening as the show was quite the gathering of fashionable young hipsters. Nice messenger bag too.
