wiggle me this!

Here's an ode to one of the best strips of runway in SF:

Cyclists criss-cross streets
Cars and busses stop for us
Wiggle is the way

A cute little poem but too often I get dirty looks from cars and buses because a bike stole their right of way. Sure, keep rolling when you get waved through but it only happens about 10-20% of the time for me.

That's the beauty of the Wiggle. I think cars know that they're in a bike zone, so the percentage of getting waved through intersections is more like 50% in my experience! :-)

Yeah, but you a hottie...that's why.

That is what brakes are for, isn't it? Anyway, if the cars don't pass us through, they miss all the beautiful people- their loss!

Oh, the Wiggle! Even with all of the nice places to be biking on in San Francisco, the Wiggle very well might be my favourite!

@KT (I think), who told me to come back and cycle it with you guys: Close miss, I came back to SF a few weeks back, and while I didn't get to ride the Wiggle, I did unexpectedly buy a very nice bike (and rode it to Mountain View). It is a very fun bike, and my friend gave me an SF Bike Coalition sticker in matching orange to remind me of where it came from.

I shall return, of course, and it'll be my pleasure to ride the Wiggle with your crew!
