Bicycle Music Festival Part 3: All The Single Ladies

The festival was chock full of freewheelin' golden girls.

The spirit of the ride gave me that feeling of days gone by. This woman reminds me of a kind of hippie-chick you might have seen in the Haight-Ashbury hey day.

The staff got to wear these cute flags indicating the role they played at the festival. I'm sure many of our readers will find this woman quite yummy.

I don't know about you, but I wouldn't mind having the word "Manager" plastered across my ass.

But more than that, I was jealous of her fantastic grey and black arm warmers and floppy hat.

Riding with the band certainly brought smiles to many faces.

brown shimmer

A very glamorous woman is bringing back the two vintage eras with this look: the 80s with those brown sparkly legwarmers over jeans and the 60s with that brown tapestry three-quarter length coat. I hope her cycle-style will inspire a thing or two in her pal!

Tour de Fat... a little late

Tour de Fat was last summer. So, I'm grossly en retard as KT would say. It's the end of the year, and I have a few days off work which gives me time to go through photos of the year. Lots of people say "Better late than never." At least, I have that going for me! I'm not never. Consider this a "year in review" post (among others).

This girl was adorable in her green with green bike and purple tights.

This guy with old fashioned bicycle needs no commentary.

Yay bikes. Yay pink. Yay cowboy boots.

Loved the mini-skirt and the socks.

I caught this lady post-fat texting a friend while waiting for another using the facilities on the panhandle which, incidentally, I don't recommend.

Rainy Day Vogue

I'm sure this post is the beginning of many documenting how the San Francisco cyclists handle our sometimes-wet winters. Maybe that's unfortunate, or maybe it provides a new angle on this, our art form, both in how we adapt to the weather and how we document those adaptations.

This woman appears unphased, if a bit unpleased, in sports coat, scarf, skirt, leggings or pants, and what looks like leg warmers or knee highs as she rides along milk crate on the back of her bike.

bicycle ballet

This is Allison. I ran into her about a week ago in the Upper Haight. She and her friend were riding off, presumably, to ballet class, in their leotards, tights and legwarmers. Allison threw a chic red knit cover-up over her dance attire. The ride to the dance studio also provides a pre-workout warmup!

i love haighters

Here's a lesson on how to turn left while looking incredibly hip in the Lower Haight.

First, dye your hair orange. Then jump into some short shorts and hop on your bike.

To keep your legs and arms warm in case the fog rolls in, slip into some legwarmers and fingerless 3/4 length gloves. Make a left turn signal.

Make sure to look for oncoming traffic when you cross the intersection (also scanning the Wiggle for other cuties en vélo.)

A unique style in a unique part of town. I simply love the Haight!

nifty knits

Striped legwarmers over leggings, and fingerless gloves! Uniquely painted rear basket! Very fantastic and very SF!

junkyard jewel

Meet Eliza.

She posed for Lilia and me at Ace's Junkyard this past Saturday and informed us about a Bicycle Dance Party she'll be performing in this coming Sunday at the same location.

I would like to point out that Eliza not only pulled off incredible stunts on an incredible bicycle adorned with a vertebrae and other skeletal parts, but she also pulled off an incredible look with some yellow cutoff fishnet stockings and legwarmers that she made out of recycled shirtsleeves. Creative with her bike, and creative with her style!

Also don't forget about the Tour de Fat this coming Saturday July 19th!

On the Way to Potrero

I was biking down to Potrero Hill when I saw this woman, all in black except a hot pink miniskirt and gold-flecked leg warmers over her combat boots. Caz of London recommends leg warmers as the new bicycle clips. I also liked the gold glinting in the spring sun.
