As the finish line of our short dance film adventure is coming into sight, we (Jessica and Kristin) are excited to share it with all of you. But first, we need a little help to run that last mile. Local Motion (part 2)

Jess & KT embark on their daily cruise down Front Street.

We took this in front of our hotel, The Lahaina Shores Beach Resort. The staff allowed us to use the freight elevator in order to keep our bikes safely inside our room on the deck.


Jess and I got our cruisers from Boss Frog. What Lahaina really could use is a proper bike rental company for visitors like us. Boss Frog had only a handful of bikes for rent, and they weren't the friendliest folks we met on the island.


But once we got our wheels, we fit right into the local motion. Oh hai!

SF [Street] Chefs

I was on my way to the East Bay Bike Party (80s Night!), and was very hungry, when I rode past Brian and his Magic Curry Kart! Score!

SFers love their food as much as they love their bikes, and on the heels of the much celebrated "SF Chefs" event, I thought I'd throw some love at our beloved street food phenomenon here on VV. The Magic Curry Kart was one of the first of its kind, and still is in that Brian's "kart" is actually a bike.


And that curry hits the spot! Bike-thru food!

Unless you live in a cave, by now you should have heard about PUBLIC bikes, as well as have seen a generous smattering of these pretty bikes rolling along the bike lanes of SF in an array of jazzy, fresh colors. But have you seen their bike warehouse in the Mission? When you're riding down Harrison Street, keep an eye out for the baby blue banner and the cute boy sipping a coffee.


Repeating spirals of beautiful baby blue - simply mesmerizing.


And I find their bike mechanic Tyler equally mesmerizing. ;-)
