[Jessica Ingersoll-Cope] Guest Photo: Colorado Cruisers!

Check out these two Colorado cruiser girls riding home from the Fort Collins downtown farmer's market, Alison with a peacock feather tee and green flair skirt and Lauren with a pink animal helmet, pink shorts and pink flip flops!

This light blue and white Raleigh cruiser and kid bike attachment comes complete with a wicker basket to hold delicious summer produce and rainbow handlebar streamers to celebrate all-out cycling fun.

[Face-painting is the new black.]

VTA Vogue

I commute for about a million years every day. So, it means a lot to me when the cyclists on the trains I ride make a little extra effort to look nice. I noticed this woman immediately in her blouse, slacks and strappy sandals waiting on the platform.

She looked absolutely nothing like the computer/bike nerds I usually ride with, who are very sweet and will look things up in their mobile wi-fi access laptops if you ask nicely. But they are usually just wearing t-shirts and jeans.

More Parisiennes a Velib'

It was summer, and most of these people were probably on vacation. Or maybe it was a weekend. One thing San Francisco has in common with Paris is that people traveling around on bicycles look like they didn't take their travel mode into consideration when they dressed that morning.

These women look like they'd planned a leisurely weekend day around town.

You can see that she's in the middle of telling her boyfriend a story at this stoplight. Note the gold shoes.

shorts overalls etc.

This woman looked great in her shorts overalls and bright red bicycle.

(Yeah, we also like her friend's t-shirt.)

Elle Macpherson rides London with her son

UK Guardian/Simon Jenkins: Elle Macpherson deserves a medal for defying the health and safety gods/The press are idiots to condemn the model for cycling without a helmet. The real villains are over-active traffic managers.

next gen voguettes

My last installment of LA inspiration: my gorgeous nieces love to cycle be it on a big wheel or mini-cruiser. Cloey wears a pale yellow sundress and sandals, and Fiona, the redhead, a floral sundress and flip-flops. Don't you wish they all could be California girls?

(Muttera) Vogue from Davis

Went to Davis Ca today. Had some extra time waiting for my Amtrak train home. So took some photos at the station and at a near by street corner.

Cycling to the Bernal Heights Farmers' Market

The day was a warm Saturday, and G and I decided to go to the farmers' market to get some local produce for the week. I like the one in Bernal Heights because it has a more authentic feel than the Ferry Building while also being less gritty than Civic Center. This woman in white capris, a lovely green halter top, and strappy sandals climbed Cortland with us.

(GDH) Bicycle Music Festival

I spotted this guy at the Bicycle Music Festival. If you're going to look the part, make sure the bike matches.

This is Eco from the The Ginger Ninjas (a band that get around the country by bicycle.) The Extracycle makes bringing the dog along a lot easier.

Collared shirt, sensible shorts and a nice leather shoulder bag. Presentable and practical.

Flops, nice shirt, matching trousers and a tall bike. What more can I say?

I saw this couple in the park when the father was putting the helmet on his daughter. The seat rigged into the basket makes for good dual purpose use. He rode that bike, his partner was just holding it for him.

She: Strappy shoes, red dress.
He: Comfortable shoes, shorts.
It was only after I took the photo that I noticed they had matching bike frames.

You shouldn't let a helmet get in the way of fashion. This guy was relaxing in the park in his weekend ensemble. But he didn't forget to bring along his hat for when he was done riding.

P.S. Lilia has more photos of this event forthcoming.

Heat Wave

This woman probably caused our recent heat wave -- totally hot in purple mini-dress at 16th and Valencia, San Francisco's version of that corner in New York last century where if you stand long enough you will meet everyone you will ever know in your life.

Everything about her was awesome: her dress, her bike, its seat and basket, her sandals, her self.... What can you do?
