same girl, different day, another great look

First of all, bravo to this woman for wearing white pants while riding her bicycle. I should really do like her and get a chainguard! That one bicycle accessory could influence every wardrobe decision I make!

But I really had my eye on her brown leather wedges. I do believe this style of shoe to be one of the easiest and practical for the ladies to ride in style.

And here she is pushing off. A little ode to Mikael at Copenhagen Cycle Chic and his love for this particular moment.

But wait, I recognize those wedges! Here she is again, looking equally fabulous in a tweed hat, blue dress and brown tights!

She may look great, but she's got to learn how to ride--what is she doing on the sidewalk?

hey, i've been Ode'd! Thanks so much. I do love that magical moment when human becomes human-powered transport.

Thanks for stopping by, Mikael!

And to anon... in her defense, she was merely pulling up in front of her building as I had been following her down Market Street for about 20 blocks. Simmer down, now!

Gotcha, KT. And, I'm not hot under the collar, rather, I'm just a person who thinks sartorial splendor and urbane deportment are both lovely qualities to observe in a fellow cyclist! ;)

Thanks for your explanation. We don't advocate riding on sidewalks either. However, I've been thinking about this issue since your comment, and frankly since there is little bicycle infrastructure with all the potholed one-way streets in downtown SF, sometimes cruising at a slow pace for a half block on a scarcely populated sidewalk is often the safest choice, especially during the morning and evening rush hours. So I see no reason to criticize this cyclist.

Go out and get thee to a chain guard! The only thing I have trouble with wearing on my bike now are very tight skirts. I hardly ever think about what I am wearing any longer, and white pants make a regular rotation into the mix. (I love my skirt guard, too!)

Cool, Adrienne. Thanks for the encouraging words! Send us a pic sometime!
